On March 14th, 2023, the Ohio State University made the decision to continue fighting against survivors and take their case to the Supreme Court. This decision has caused further trauma to the survivors involved. OSU claimed in their filing to the Supreme Court that universities may be discouraged from investigating sexual assault as the result of the ruling against them. This claim is not only concerning, but also may be explaining that they would have decided not to investigate sexual assault if they thought they were still legally liable for causing it, which is concerning. It's clear that the university's motives were not rooted in accountability, but rather in gaining positive publicity at the expense of survivors.
We are committed to ensuring transparency in this process and will be closely monitoring the OSU "Petition to the U.S. Supreme Court" site for any inaccuracies or omissions. Our goal is to hold OSU accountable and prevent them from using PR tactics to obscure the truth.

We want to draw attention to the "Timeline" section of the Ohio State University's website. The timeline claims to show "key dates in OSU's efforts to investigate the abuse perpetrated by Richard Strauss and the university's failure to prevent it". However, we believe that important details have been omitted from this timeline.
One significant omission is the complete lack of any mention of the university's failure to protect students at the time. It is astonishing that a timeline about the assault of hundreds of students over a 20-year period and the subsequent cover-up by the university fails to acknowledge this crucial information.

This section is devoted to scrutinizing OSU's depiction of the Dr. Strauss incident ensuring accuracy through the site. We'll highlight crucial details that OSU may have omitted, giving voice to survivors and honoring their experiences. We'll also point out the information we feel is critical to fully understand both sides of the case, critical information the OSU seems to have forgotten to include.
All of this is in an effort to help OSU fulfill its claim of full transparency.
